The Rope Doula

Scout (also known as Shakti Bliss) is an intuitive, somatic healing guide, full spectrum doula and indigenous witch from the lands of the Apache and Kickapoo (post colonized: Austin, TX). She guides other soul forward humans toward radical self acceptance, trust and love throughout transitions in their life through a trauma informed lens. Scout is passionate about alchemizing + ritualizing life experiences, emotions and our innate intuitive wisdom into empowerment and a deep sense of self trust - because she truly believes in rebirthing, reparenting and reclaiming our wellness, liberation and authentic self expression as our birthright and as a form of activism and social justice. Using years of training & education in body awareness, trauma informed care, western anatomy, energetic anatomy, mindful movement, intimacy & tantric philosophies, gender & consent as well as BDSM & kink, she enjoys using a safe container to bring others home to themselves and guide toward transforming into their power. Scout hopes to increase visibility and representation for people of color in kink, sex education and tantric studies as well as to add a fresh perspective to the ritual & art of rope bondage, interpersonal connection, intimacy, kink and various aspects of BDSM.

Rope Ritual + reflection
This Rope Ritual is meant to engage us in authentic connection and an exchange of energy enhancing reflection and self discovery. The Rope Ritual is comprised of three parts:
The Reading
We will begin with a light reading using a specific portal to different perspectives of the universe (The Tarot, Elemental Scrying or Astrology). We will also do a body reading while stretching and preparing our physical form for being bound. This is when we will also discuss safety around the Rope aspect of the ritual.
The Rope
Rope bondage and the compression from being bound can be as serene as a firm hug but also as jarring as restriction can possibly be. This will be an exploration in submission, not to me, but to the tool of connection between us. Can we find comfort in the discomfort? Can we dive in to the experience together?
The Reset
To wrap up our ritual together we will nourish our bodies, write as reflection of our experience and integrate our somatic journey through conversation and verbal processing together. Any post rope stretching or body care will also be taken care of before emerging back in to the world, reset in your body, mind and spirit.

Class will include: Connective exercises and meditations, rope bondage 101 and safety, discussion of consent and agency, sensual movement and how to engage in kinky play in a ritualistic way with your partner.
